County seeks Spanish speaker for public relations position


Ventura County has opened a recruitment to fill a position for a Spanish-speaking public information officer to serve in the county executive office.

“The county has over 2,000 bilingual employees across our many agencies and departments, and as part of our continued commitment to our Spanish-speaking community, we are looking to dedicate a Spanish-speaking communications professional within the county executive office to translate our communications materials,” said Mike Powers, county executive officer.

Candidates should have excellent written and oral bilingual skills in English and Spanish. They should have knowledge of public relations principles and experience working with digital and social media content creation and outreach, news releases, brochures and other written communications.

Public speaking is a necessary component of the position, and experience with photography or video is preferred.
