Community members sought for neighborhood councils

The Simi Valley Neighborhood Councils are advisory boards that act as a conduit between city government and residents on matters that affect the community.

They also give developers the opportunity to speak with residents and address concerns early on in the planning process.

The councils are for residents who want to provide input on decisions that affect their neighborhood, participate in local government at a neighborhood level, keep informed and meet new people.

The Neighborhood Councils are recruiting board members for the next two-year term beginning March 1, 2019.

Applications are due by Fri., Dec. 7.

For an application, go to www.simivalley.org/NCApplication or call (805) 583-6756.
