A leader the city can trust

My husband and I moved to Simi Valley 25-plus years ago looking for a community that was safe for our two young children. We befriended our neighbors, found a church, got involved with the schools and knew we had found our forever home. We care about this great big community with the hometown feel. That’s why I am honored to introduce Fred Thomas to you. He is running for one of the open City Council positions.

Fred and his lovely wife are great philanthropists in Simi. They continually open their homes and hearts to community causes. Fred runs a successful business, is a longtime volunteer and officer with the Boys & Girls Club and once again brought the DEA to the Reagan Library for an “Opioid Crisis” conference.

He serves on the police foundation board, attends just about every fundraiser in town and deeply cares about the health and welfare of Simi Valley.

When I asked him why he was running, he replied that he could use his knowledge and experience to serve the city in the areas of balancing the budget, addressing expected shortfalls, support for continued drug enforcement and education and forward vision for our city.

He is making himself available to meet the citizens of Simi Valley and understand their concerns and questions.

Simi will do well to elect such a fine individual as Fred Thomas. Our City Council will be well equipped to handle future challenges with this brilliant businessman and compassionate leader.
