SENDING A MESSAGE—In recognition of Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 26-30, the Sinaloa Middle School PTSA sponsored a first-ever schoolwide poster contest to focus students’ attention on the detrimental effect drugs can have on people’s lives. Pictured with their winning entries are, left to right, Jack O’Hanlon, sixth grade, second place; Michael Phillips, sixth grade, first place; and Rebekah Park, seventh grade, third place. The entries have been on display all week. Red Ribbon Week is nationally recognized and celebrated each year to remind everyone to make a personal commitment to live a drug-free life. 035p1.jpg
