Nottingham Fest holds auditions

The fifth annual Nottingham Festival is looking for all types of performers for the first two weekends of November in Simi Valley.

The fest is a traditional Renaissance fair produced by Actors’ Repertory Theatre of Simi.

Organizers are seeking actors to play characters onstage and in the streets as well as already polished stage acts that celebrate the Elizabethan or Shakespearean time periods.

Some roles may require rehearsals beforehand, but not all. People who can juggle, sing, act or do any form of entertainment are welcome to audition.

Performers with a Westernthemed talent or act can audition for Tumbleweed, a Western festival set in the late 19th century American West.

Auditions will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Aug 12 in the multipurpose room at Simi Elementary School (ARTS Cultural Enrichment Center), 2956 School St., Simi Valley.

Auditions will continue from 9 a.m. to noon Sun., Aug. 13 at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., Los Angeles.
