Foundation awards over $394K in healthcare grants

The Livingston Memorial Foundation has presented grants of more than $394,000 to 24 nonprofit organizations that provide assistance to Ventura County residents in health-related fields.

The Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, a nonprofit home health agency that has an office in Thousand Oaks, received the largest grant of $180,000.

The Thousand Oaks- and Oak Park-based Westminster Free Clinic received $97,000 from the foundation in support of the clinic’s free medical services program.

Other grant recipients include the Free Clinic of Simi Valley, Camarillo Hospice Corporation, Conejo Free Clinic, Hospice of the Conejo, Mary Health of the Sick and St. John’s Healthcare Foundation.

Livingston Memorial Foundation was formed in 1974 by the late Ben E. Nordman and Charles M. Hair and was established with funds from the estate of Ruth Daily Livingston, in honor of her late husband, William R. Livingston.
