SVHS educators work tirelessly
At Simi Valley High School we have a great number of teachers who are working tirelessly to provide a quality, well-rounded education to the students of our community. I would be remiss if I did not take the time to talk about how thankful I am to be a part of a school that values education and all of its riches.
In particular, I want to shine the light on people in my department who saw a need for growth and took action to make the changes necessary for improvement.
To my co-chair Stephanie Lauer, thank you for being so welcoming to all students and helping them see the beauty in the words of the English language.
To Alisa Simpson, our English language development program chair, thank you for being so supportive and working tirelessly to ensure students have what they need.
To Sharon Kelley, who was instrumental in bringing a new English course offering not only to our school but to our entire district because she saw a need that was not being met, thank you.
To Terrie Hamilton, who has made it her personal mission to help us find the light again, thank you.
To Amanda Shrock, who is just the best person and I do not know what I would do without your friendship, thank you.
To all of my colleagues, I am so thankful to have a place to be myself and share ideas to help our students reach their full potential. Simi Valley is a thankful city and Simi Valley High School is a great place to be.
