Simi Hills Christian Church will host Shahar Shilo, one of the world’s leading experts in the archaeology of Israel, at 7 p.m. Fri., Oct. 19 at the church, 4307 Walnut Ave., Simi Valley.

Shilo will present some of the new discoveries from Temple Mount and the City of David in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times.

Archaeologists are constantly searching for evidence to support biblical truths, and discoveries give new insights to the people and cultures of the past.
