‘3 Blonde Moms’ pokes fun at parenthood
The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation will present “3 Blonde Moms: See How They Run!” at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Feb. 10 at the Scherr Forum Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.
The nationally touring show features three comedic actresses who are also moms and takes on topics including parenting, neighbors, the PTA, in-laws, trying to stay in shape and multitasking.
Producer and “Perky Mom” Joanie Fagan played Faith on “The Drew Carey Show,” appeared in several Disney films such as “Angels in the Outfield” and Touchstone’s “Race to Space,” and has appeared in commericals, on Comedy Central, HBO and in Lifetime comedy specials.
“Hotty Mom” Donna Cherry appeared in “Desperate Housewives,” Disney’s “Suite Life on Deck,” and was Barry Manilow’s opening act for years.
Tell-it-like-it-is “Feisty Mom” Kat Simmons is an eWomens International Talent Contest winner and host of her own syndicated radio show.
Guest Carol Leifer will be the opening act for the performance.
Some audience members will receive free gifts at the aftershow meet-and-greet.
