CAREFUL INSPECTION—Gabriel Roca of San Fernando, above, and his son Gabriel, 13, test out a “roadrailer” type model train car before they buy it at the third Santa Susana Depot Open House and Swap Meet of the year last Saturday. At left, 5-year-old Reed Thorne of Canoga Park gets excited about a new locomotive he bought from Charles Backes of Mission Viejo. Trains, tracks, scenery and accessories for all types of model trains were offered by local and regional clubs, including Gold Coast Model Railroad Club and the Santa Susana Model Railroad Club.
