Temple invites new members, hosts holiday services
•Congregation B’nai Emet will host a Back to Shul Night service at 7 p.m. Fri., Sept. 3 at the temple, 9 W. Bonita, Simi Valley.
Rabbi Michele Paskow will lead the service and discuss spiritual preparations for the New Year.
Following the service, prospective members will have the opportunity to tour the synagogue and learn about the religious school, preschool and other programs. Temple personnel will also be available to answer questions.

•Congregation B’nai Emet will host Rosh Hashana services at 8 p.m. Wed., Sept. 8 and 10 a.m. Thurs., Sept. 9 at Mount Sinai Chapel, 6150 Mount Sinai Drive, Simi Valley.
Rabbi Michele Paskow, Cantor Michael Russ and the choir will lead the service. Russ will blow the shofar.
Yom Kippur services will also be at Mount Sinai Chapel. Kol Nidre services will be at 8 p.m. Fri., Sept. 17, and morning services will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 18.
At 1 p.m. Sept. 18, Russ will present a service for families with young children. Each child will have an opportunity to blow the shofar.
