Thunderbirds to soar over Point Mugu Air Show
The 43rd Naval Base Ventura County Air Show will take place Sat. and Sun., Aug. 7 and 8 at the base, 311 Main Road, Point Mugu.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. Admission and parking are free.
The show will feature the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, which operate Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter/ strike aircraft.
“I am very happy to announce the Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron will be returning to Naval Base Ventura County for the first time in three years,” said Capt. James McHugh, commanding officer.
The air show will also feature aviation simulators, current and vintage aircraft on display, food and beverage booths, and souvenirs.
Seabees will display their construction equipment to show the role they play in support operations throughout the world.
