Proposed field lab group unnecessary

I have been watching the efforts of Christina Walsh and her supporters to establish a Community Advisory Group for the Santa Susana Field Lab, and the stated purpose of this group would be to educate the public and to monitor the actions of the Department of Toxic Substances Control, which oversees the cleanup by Boeing. I have a number of questions that perhaps someone can answer for me.

Has DTSC agreed to sponsor and support this group? If DTSC has declined to approve this group, what specific section and paragraph of the law are they breaking?

Has Boeing agreed to fund this group without DTSC being involved or does Boeing require that DTSC participate in this group? If funded, will this group hire scientists, physicists and other professionals to monitor, evaluate DTSC and make recommendations?

How will this technical information be translated and presented to the public in meetings?

The existing work group now provides technical data to the public and responds to questions from the public at the end of the meetings.

The Chatsworth DTSC meetings provide for immediate and full public participation during the entire meeting time.

So, will this CAG add another layer of management by monitoring DTSC, which in turn monitors Boeing, and Boeing is to fund the CAG?

Will the use of two jockeys make the horse run faster?
