Bands will pay tribute to the Man in Black
The second annual Tribute to Johnny Cash music festival will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., June 19 at Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 Harbor Blvd., Ventura.
Two stages will feature performances from Robert Gordon with the Slim Jim Phantom trio; Cash’s drummer W.S. Fluke Holland; Cash tribute band from Ventura, Big River; and others.
A hot rod car and bike show, food, beer and wine are among the festival’s offerings. The car show will have celebrity judges and “Cash” prizes. Johnny Cash memorabilia will be displayed, and collectibles and merchandise will be sold. Vendors will offer clothing, shoes, records, toys and hot rod accessories.
Tickets are $20 for adults. Children under 12 who are wearing black are admitted free. Discounts are available for seniors, military, students and AAA members. Admission price includes festival and car show.
