Mackenzey Franklin Mackenzey Franklin, a sophomore dance major at Loyola Marymount University, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. over Memorial Day weekend.

To earn this honor, Franklin and nine of her dance classmates placed among the top four winners at the American College Dance Festival competition in Phoenix.

Franklin, a 2008 graduate of Simi Valley High School, studied at Dance Unlimited in Simi Valley. She won the 2003 Simi Cultural Theatre Arts Spotlight Young Artist of the Year Award. Most recently she appeared in “Cabaret” at the Met Theatre in Hollywood, choreographed by Tania Possick.
