•Two Simi Valley residents graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. in May.

Jessica Lynn Getchius received a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Angela M. Rampton received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.

Marist is an independent liberal arts college with an enrollment of 4,542 full-time undergraduate students from 36 states and 13 countries.

•Shakila Balkhi of Simi Valley was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2010 semester at Missouri Southern State University. Balkhi is a biology major.

The dean’s list recognizes fulltime students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or above on a 4.0 scale.

•Jonathan McCormick of Simi Valley has been named to the spring 2010 dean’s honor roll at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Students who have a semester grade point average of 3.25 to 3.74 and no incompletes are listed on the honor roll at the end of each semester.
