Thomas would do a top-notch job

I’m supporting Bruce Thomas for county supervisor. Why? Because unlike some residents who base their vote on how many signs they see along the road, I know Bruce will address the issues of my community.

First, he is dedicated to being a true representative of the people. This is proven by his belief that all communities should have a voice.

At present, the unincorporated areas of East Ventura County do not have neighborhood representatives, as city residents do through their neighborhood councils. These areas have been asking our current supervisor, Peter Foy, to allow us this same privilege but have been denied.

Second, Thomas is committed to preserving the quality of life in our community. How would the quality of Simi Valley be affected if many hundreds of extra trash trucks per day were traveling alongside you on the 118 Freeway? The dump expansion proposal plan promises to let us find out. Bruce Thomas is already looking into this.

Third, his experience in education is a resource we desperately need to help us through these times of uncertainty in the education of our young people.

So when you fill in your ballot this Election Day, don’t simply choose a name that sounds familiar because you’ve seen it on a sign. Make the educated choice.

Vote for Bruce Thomas, the candidate who is in touch with the issues that affect your community.
