At its regular meeting on May 11, the board of directors of the Ventura County Lincoln Club voted to endorse Chief Dep. Dennis Carpenter for Ventura County sheriff. We are impressed by his long record of exemplary service in the sheriff’s department and his unquestioned integrity.

At a time when every municipality is dealing with the problem of underfunded pensions and benefits for public service employees, we believe that Dennis Carpenter is the candidate most qualified to represent the needs and limitations of Ventura County taxpayers equitably and fairly.

We urge you to vote for Chief Dep. Dennis Carpenter for sheriff.
