Longhorns stake claim to league crown

HOOK ’EM, HORNS—The Coastal Division Longhorns captured the boys’ Major League title in the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District Youth Basketball League with a 34-33 victory over the East Division Celtics. The Longhorns overcame double-digit deficits and managed to close a nine-point margin with less than two minutes left in the game to pull off a one-point victory. The Longhorns were 10-0 in Coastal Division play, and finished the season with a 12-0 record, including playoff wins over the top two teams in the East Division.
