He is the son of Hugo De Leon and Michele Velasquez, both of Simi Valley.

De Leon is a 2009 graduate of Adolfo Camarillo High School.

•Army Pvt. Alejandro Ruiz has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

He is the son of Ana Ruiz of Simi Valley.

•Air Force Airman Edward M. Breen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Edward and Laura Breen of Simi Valley and a 2009 graduate of Royal High School.
