At right, Logan Fox, 6, of the Red Sox waves to his parents. The big day included a pancake  breakfast,  home  run  derby  and,  of course,  lots  of  games.  Players  were  also greeted to a speech by former Dodger pitcher Al Downing. March is the starting date for most Simi Valley youth baseball and softball leagues.
