•Tyler Genovese will be inducted into the Beta Sigma Rho Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Moorpark College on April 29.
Genovese is a criminal justice major and the son of Bob and Gina Genovese of Simi Valley.
Phi Theta Kappa is one of the oldest honor societies serving twoyear colleges around the world.
•Sean A. Taylor of Simi Valley received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Boston University in January.
Boston University is the fourth largest independent university in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 29,000 students.
•Matthew Johnson of Simi Valley was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 academic term at Warner Pacific College.
To qualify, students must be enrolled full time and achieve a 3.5 or greater grade-point average.
Warner Pacific is an urban, Christ-centered liberal arts college in Portland, Ore.
•Craig Knepley, a freshman from Simi Valley, was named to the Seaver College dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester.
To earn this honor, students must be in the upper 10 percent of their class and maintain a 3.5 or better grade-point average.
Seaver College is the undergraduate school for Pepperdine University in Malibu.
