Simi Valley Hospital Foundation selects its Woman of the Year

Deb Holler will receive award at ‘Hats Off’ luncheon

The First Ladies of Simi Valley Hospital Foundation has named Deb Holler as the 2010 Woman of the Year.

Holler will receive the award at the Hats Off to Women Luncheon and Fashion Show on April 16 at the American Jewish University House of the Book in Simi Valley.

Holler has lived in Simi Valley for 20 years. She supports many community events and has opened her home for a variety of fundraisers for community organizations.

She has been a member of the Rotary Club of Simi Valley for 13 years and is the president. She also serves on several boards within the community such as the Boys & Girls Club and the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, where she served as the chief financial officer.

Holler has been involved with the Moorpark Community College Foundation Board and she is a graduate of Leadership Simi Valley.

In 2006, Holler was named Business Person of the Year by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce for her high ethical business standards and outstanding leadership abilities.

She has hosted fundraisers for many organizations, including the Free Clinic of Simi Valley, the Rotary Club of Simi Valley, the Simi Valley Community Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club, the Samaritan Center and the Moorpark College Foundation.

Hats Off to Women celebrates women and raises funds for hospital community outreach projects.

This year, proceeds from the event will be earmarked for the hospital’s expansion of the emergency department.
