Go behind scenes at teaching zoo

America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College will host the 20th annual Spring Spectacular fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends, March 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 at the campus zoo, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.

Three different animal shows will be presented and guests can meet some exotic species up close. Food, games, and behind-the-scenes tours of the zoo will be available.

The zoo is the training site for the Exotic Animal Training and Management program. Students of the program give daily care to the zoo’s 115 exotic animals. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors, and free for children under the age of two.
