Think twice before speeding How fast are you really going? Chances are, too fast. Most people do not pay attention to the posted speed limit, and it proves to be a very dangerous choice. Just a few years ago, my father was in a bad accident due to speeding. A driver who was going way over the speed limit rearended my dad going almost 80 mph, while my dad was in traffic and not moving at all. His back was broken, and he could have been paralyzed or even killed. He was very lucky to have walked away from a crash like this. Knowing that there are people out there who break the law makes me not only angry but frightened because I am a new driver. Even though I am a safe driver and follow the rules of the road, there are others out there who make it dangerous for me as well as other drivers.
So I ask you to please slow down; it could mean the difference between life and death. |
