Put a tuxedo on your house

In response to Ray Miller’s letter in the Acorn dated Feb. 19 (“Simi men needed to ‘class it up’”), Ray, your higher expectations regarding a tuxedo being worn at a formal event is expected and required for the men of Simi Valley.

In my opinion, no matter what age you are, you should always dress to impress, especially when accompanied by your wife. I am sure she looked great, too.

To take it to another level, perhaps we should all take a hint from you and apply this higher level of etiquette to our homes. Let’s put the “tuxedos” on the front of our homes.

As examples, cut our lawns, clean up our driveways, wash our garage doors and paint the dull trims. Let’s not limit ourselves to just our attire but take the classy perspective you have brought to our attention and use that thought process on our homes.

It will increase our property values, and we will look and feel like a million bucks.

Taking the initiative to do this may spread more class and optimism to others. Note to Ray: I’ll wear a tuxedo with you anytime.
