Annual address has added twist

The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the 2010 State of the City luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wed., March 17 at the American Jewish University, 1101 Peppertree Lane, Simi Valley.

During the luncheon, Mayor Paul Miller will give his annual presentation on the city and announce if he will be running for reelection.

Miller has served as mayor of Simi Valley since 2004. He won his last reelection campaign in ’08 with 79 percent of the vote.

The event will provide a forum for Miller to communicate the city’s 2009 accomplishments and outline the city’s goals for 2010.

The city manager and department heads are scheduled to give updates on the various city activities and budget concerns for the coming year.

Lunch will be $40 for Chamber members and $55 for nonmembers.
