Simi Chamber gets 5 stars

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently awarded the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce with 5-Star Distinction in Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures and positive impact on the community.

This honor puts the Chamber among the top 1 percent of chambers nationwide. Only 10 chambers received the 5-Star rating.

In order to receive accreditation, a Chamber must meet certain standards in its operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs and technology.

The examining committee awarded the Simi Valley Chamber perfect scores in human resources, technology, governance and facilities and nearly perfect scores in finance, programs, communications and government affairs.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce represents more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
