•Air Force Airman 1st Class Shane M. Furgang graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Leilani Furgang and grandson of Bernar Furgang, both of Simi Valley.

Furgang graduated in 2005 from Santa Susana High School and received an associate degree in 2009 from Moorpark College.

•Army Pvt. Ryan W. Haas has graduated from Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The program consisted of basic infantry training and advanced individual training.

Haas is the son of Leslie Haas of Simi Valley.
