On Friday evening, Feb. 19, I called the Simi Valley graffiti hotline number (583-6444) to report a variety of tagging instances at the bike path, local park and an elementary school.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call Saturday morning from a city of Simi Valley employee to notify me what had already been cleaned and when the rest of the graffiti would be removed.

We are fortunate to live in a city with employees who care about our city and work hard to ensure the quality of our environment. Thank you.
