Author, teacher and Acorn columnist Dennis Merritt Jones, former spiritual leader of the Center for Spiritual Living in Simi Valley, will host a “Being Mindful of the Miracle. . . Grateful for the Gift” retreat from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 10 at Tierra Rejada Farm, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark.

The event will help participants learn meditation techniques and mindfulness practices, experience nature and the gift of life, and focus on the positive and good.

The cost is $49 for individuals and $90 for two family members if paid by March 29. Thereafter, all attendees pay $55.
