2010-02-05 / Pets
The Ventura Audubon Society will unveil an interpretive bird sign at 4 p.m. Fri., Feb. 12 at the Ventura River Estuary, next to the bike path and the beach, behind and west of the Ventura County Fairgrounds. There is parking off W. Main Street in the paved lot west of the Highway 33 underpass.
Society members will be on hand with spotting scopes to help the public identify birds.
Ventura Audubon raised the funds to produce the sign, which was designed by Jane Spiller and illustrated with original artwork by Santa Barbara wildlife artist Peter Gaede.
