What ticks me off is this telethon they did for Haiti and here the U.S. is suffering with homeless on the streets.

San Diego was full of people sleeping in doorways of businesses.

When will George Clooney do a telethon for U.S. victims of the economy, and when will John Travolta fly supplies to them? I hate this.

And yet another celebrity wants to run California? Zsa Zsa’s Frederic von Anhalt wants to run for governor—yeah, because we need another celeb to keep ruining this state.

California is in the worst trouble of the states and yet the prices of rent or car payments don’t go down and taxes keep going up and more people end up on the streets or taking their family’s lives and their own or going nuts. I am so sick of it.

Seriously, they need to employ the unemployed and give homes to all, and the empty stores can house the homeless until they are rented out. Instead they sit dormant while so many are on the streets cold and scared and hungry.

We need less volunteer jobs and more jobs that pay. I am sick of being hirable enough to volunteer but not to get paid. Barbara Anne Ungewitter Carrell Simi Valley
