Writer to give pitching tips
Local author Margaret Brownley will be the featured speaker for the Ventura County Writers Club at 7 p.m. Tues., Feb. 9 at Borders bookstore, 125 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.
Brownley has published more than 23 books in a variety of genres and has written more than 400 magazine articles.
She will speak on “How to Knock Off Their Socks!” when writing book proposals to agents. She’ll discuss how writers can create the best pitch for their project.
Nicole Criona and Sanora Bartels, founders of L.A. Writers Group, will also speak on “Starter Blocks versus Writer’s Block: Three Ways to Remove Obstacles from Your Creative Path.”
The public is invited, and there is no charge to attend.
