Realtors toast newly formed association
As 2009 ended, the Conejo Valley Association of Realtors and the Simi Valley–Moorpark Association of Realtors joined together to form Conejo Simi Moorpark Association.
To celebrate the consolidation and to install its first leaders, the new group hosted a grand opening party at the Reagan Library that included the installation of the 2010 officers and board of directors.
The officers are co-presidents Peter Greer and Liz Puliti, president-elect Linda Mills, secretary-treasurer Jeff Phillips and past president Connie Reed.
The directors are Laura Lee Anthony, Nelson Carrillo, Kathy Courter, Linda Enderson, Rick Gaviati, Mike Hanley, Lynn Hook, Kathryn Laub, Chuck Lech, Theodore Mackel, James Mackelburg, Don Philips, Joel Reznick, and Charlene Siemon.
California Department of Real Estate commissioner Jeff Davi administered the swearing in of the officers and directors.
Davi spoke about the economy, the housing market and the hopes for a near-future recovery. He said he believes the state is “on the downward side of this economic crisis,” and he predicted that more houses will sell in 2010 than last year, with real estate leading the way out of the recession.
The Conejo Simi Moorpark Association of Realtors serves about 2,900 members. The association’s office is in Thousand Oaks.
