The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District presents the following programs for seniors.

Unless otherwise noted, activities take place at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 2900 Avenida Simi.

•The Master Gardener Series will start with a kickoff lecture by Owen Dell on “Sustainable Landscaping” at 1:30 p.m. Tues., Feb. 9.

Dell is the author of “Sustainable Landscaping for Dummies” and “How to Start a Home-Based Landscaping Business.”

The fee is $5 per class or $16 for all sessions.

•The Fullerton Civic Light Opera will present the Ginger Rogers story “Backwards in High Heels” on Sat., Feb. 27.

A bus will leave from the Simi Valley Senior Center at 10 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.

The cost is $88 and includes front row orchestra seats and lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

Reservations are due by Thurs., Feb. 18.
