Statements made in ‘push poll’ were inaccurate
While reading the article “Strickland eyeing Parks’ seat” (Jan. 15, Simi Valley Acorn ) I had to stop and wonder why Audra Strickland would uproot her family just to run for county supervisor.
If she really wanted to run for this position, she could run without uprooting her family since the seat for her district is open. Supervisor Foy just announced today that he is running, but I would be willing to bet Ms. Strickland already knew that and would not run against her friend
Instead she will move her family to the next city and fabricate stories about the current office holder, Supervisor Linda Parks.
I thought it would be interesting to see just what questions were asked in the push poll that was referenced in the article. After reading the poll, one statement really struck me as a big fabrication. That statement is that Audra Strickland has fought to require the highest level of cleanup at the Rocketdyne site.
This is more than a fabrication, since I have been working hard for the past 20 years to see that this site is cleaned up to the highest standards and have never seen or heard from Ms. Strickland or members of her staff.
On the other hand, Supervisor Linda Parks and members of her staff have attended countless meetings and taken the time to meet with members of the community to see how she can help.
If this statement is so far from the truth, then one would have to wonder about the other statements that were presented in this poll.
