If assemblywoman wants to move, why not try L.A.?
It is simply unbelievable that termed-out Assemblymember Audra Strickland could be so desperate for a new job that she would job shop first for treasurertax collector and then for a seat on the Board of Supervisors.
And which supervisor’s seat? Not in the 4th District in which she lives, a seat belonging to fellow Republican Peter Foy, but in the 2nd District against Linda Parks.
Considering what an asset Linda Parks is to the entire county, not just her own district, it would simply be a disaster should Strickland manage to cheat her way into that position.
It appears Strickland has a true lack of commitment to her own district and is only looking at what will benefit her bank account.
Residency requirements were established to protect Ventura County residents. How crazy is it that someone can simply rent an apartment in any district just to get a job?
Does this mean that perhaps Strickland might then move to Los Angeles County and run for a supervisor’s job there? Now that is a move I would support.
