The Simi Valley Senior Center hosts a Books and Movies program that meets monthly from 7 to 10 p.m. Mondays at the center, 3900 Avenida Simi.

Attendees will have a group discussion of a book, followed by a screening of a film based on the book. The event is free.

Upcoming movies are “La Vie en Rose—Life of Legendary French Chanteuse Edith Piaf” (French with English subtitles), Jan. 25; “To Kill a Mockingbird,” author Lee Harper, Feb. 22; and “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” author Tracy Chevalier, March 29.
