Parent Project sign-ups open
The Simi Valley Police Department is accepting reservations for the 10-session Parent Project class scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursdays starting Feb. 11 at Cornerstone Church, 4364 Valley Fair St., Simi Valley.
The class is a nationally renowned parenting skills workshop and is used by both Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties’ juvenile court systems. The program is for parents who are struggling with an incorrigible teen.
Parent Project provides activity-based instruction, support groups and a curriculum that addresses the most destructive adolescent behavior.
Classes will address such issues as poor school attendance and performance, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, runaways and teen violence.
