Dynamic Marching Percussion Ensemble will begin rehearsals for its drumline at noon Sun., Jan. 10 at the Simi Valley High School band room, 5400 Cochran St., Simi Valley.

Rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons, and competitions will be on several Saturdays in March and April.The ensemble has announced its debut as a newly established independent competition drumline for youths ages 14 to 22 based in the West San Fernando Valley/East Ventura County area.

The group meets at Simi Valley High School under the direction of Dan Meador. Meador has 15 years of experience teaching percussion. He earned his master’s degree in music with an emphasis in percussion from Cal State Northridge. For more information, e-mail dynamicdrumline@gmail.com.
