Active Adult Programs
The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District presents the following programs for seniors.
Unless otherwise noted, activities take place at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 2900 Avenida Simi. Costs are listed.

•Trip to Getty Center Museum. Thurs., Jan. 14. Lunch at Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant in Beverly Hills. After lunch take tram ride to museum and see gardens, terraces, architecture and classic paintings. $69.
•Strings orchestra class. Tues., Jan. 12 to Feb. 23.

•Ukulele/guitar island band or workshop. Thurs., Jan. 14 to Feb. 25. Band class 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. Workshop class for beginners 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. $43 for workshop. $25 for band.
•Master Gardener class. Owen E. Dell teaches sustainable landscaping at 1:30 p.m. Tues., Feb. 9. $5.
•Illustrating children’s books. 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 14 to Feb. 25. $50.
•Ballroom dance with Sandi Patterson. 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. Wed., Jan. 13 to Feb. 24. Basic rhythms and variations of the cha-cha. Partners recommended but not required. $30.
•Basic ballet with Mary Pat Weber. 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through March 1. Basic steps, barre exercises. Ballet slippers recommended. $35.
•Clogging Beginning I with Evelyn Eisele. 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 12 to Feb. 23. Taps available for $15 (adhere to the bottom of tennis shoes). $40.
