A Simi Valley resident was killed Dec. 24 in a motorcycle accident.

Matthew Recheck, 21, lost control of his motorcycle at about 1:30 p.m. Dec. 24 while traveling west on Lake Park Drive North, according to a police report.

Recheck was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a fence that runs along the side of the road. He was taken to Los Robles Hospital and listed in critical condition. He died from his injuries Dec. 28.

The Simi Valley Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the accident. Anyone who witnessed the accident who hasn’t been interviewed by the investigators is asked to call the traffic unit at (805) 583-6185.
