Garage door serves as Christmas canvas


THE REASON FOR THE SEASON—Local artist Bobby Doran decided to shift from snowmen and reindeer to more Christmas-focused holiday decorations this year, so he painted a nativity scene on the garage door of his home at 688 Weller Court in Simi Valley. Doran says even neighbors to whom he'd never spoken before have stopped by to compliment him on the painting, which took him about two weeks to complete.
