Citizens cited for good deeds


‘YOU STOPPED ME FOR WHAT?’— Tammy Brewer of Chatsworth, above, and Hugo Gallegos of Simi Valley, at right, were surprised Wednesday with a $50 gift certificate from City Councilmember Steve Sojka, left, and Simi Valley Police Lt. Paul Fitzpatrick as part of SVPD’s firstever Operation Good Cheer. Sojka and Fitzpatrick were “on patrol” that morning looking for law-abiding citizens to reward with a gift certificate good at any store at the Simi Town Center.
