•A family Shabbat service with a Hanukkah puppet show will be at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 4 at Congregation B’nai Emet, 9 W. Bonita Drive, Simi Valley.

•The lighting of the menorah for the first night of Hanukkah will be at 8 p.m. Fri., Dec. 11. Jake Strasser, on the occasion of his bar mitzvah, will participate in the service.
