NIFTY AT 50—Students from Abraham Lincoln Elementary proudly show off their 1-cent pieces to celebrate the school’s 50th  anniversary  during  a  special  assembly Nov.  19. The school, which first opened in 1959, also recognized students for  having  reached  a  score  of  806  on  the  Academic Performance Index, the elementary’s highest score since the state started administering the API tests 10 years ago.
