Teens accused of dealing heroin
Two Simi Valley teenagers were arrested last week on suspicion of dealing heroin throughout east Ventura County.
At the conclusion of a two-week investigation by a team of law enforcement, authorities arrested Parker Moulton and Tyler Hanna, both 18, as the pair drove away from Moulton’s residence in the 700 block of Hudspeth Avenue in Simi Valley on Tues., Nov. 17.
During a subsequent search of Moulton’s residence, investigators said they found approximately half an ounce of heroin, a stash of money and packaging materials. A 17-year-old male inside the residence was also arrested and charged with possession of heroin and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The arrest was a joint effort by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit, Simi Valley Police Department’s Narcotic Unit, Ventura County district attorney’s office and the city of Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit.
Moulton and Hanna were booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility pending their arraignment in Ventura County Superior Court. Their bail was set at $50,000. The juvenile was cited and released to his parent.
