The 27th annual California Strawberry Festival seeks submissions for the 2010 official poster contest, with $2,000 awarded to the winner. The entry deadline is Jan. 4.

The poster will be used in marketing and advertising and also printed on collectible Tshirts and promotional items. The festival will be on May 15 and 16, 2010.

The contest has no age requirements or limits on artistic mediums. Judges will select the winner based on which image best captures the look and feel of the weekend celebration.

All original artwork must be 16.5 inches wide and 17 inches high, centered and mounted on a black matte board 18.5 inches by 19 inches.

The finished product must be reproduction compatible and void of any writing, including the date. Contact name and information should be on the back.

Entries can be mailed or hand-delivered to the festival office at 1661 Pacific Ave., Ste. 15, Oxnard, CA 93033. The winner will be notified the second week of January. Posters will not be returned and must be picked up from the festival office.

All rights to the winning design will become the property of the California Strawberry Festival.
