The Moorpark College Foundation’s Farmers Market will remain open Saturday mornings through December, rain or shine, in parking lot G on the east side of the campus, 7075 Campus Road.

The market will go on a winter hiatus from January through March 2010, reopen in April and remain in operation through December.

The certified farmers market sells fresh fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, plants, baked goods and specialty foods. The market benefits students through the Moorpark College Foundation.

Student artisans have been displaying their work at the market. Students’ work in ceramics, photography and other artwork is on sale through December.

A portion of proceeds from the sale of student artwork supports the foundation’s scholarship program.
